Foundation, Spirit & Fun Muay Thai is a transformative sport for children ages 4-12 that teaches strength, confidence, and focus through the tradition and art of Muay Thai Boxing. Children develop character by learning discipline, confidence, team work, and leadership. They develop both their physical and mental strength and begin to establish life long healthy habits. Ranked amongst the top fitness classes for kids in the city, our pre-champ program develops children to be successful at the studio, at home, and at school. Read more about the benefits of Muay Thai here.
In our pre-champion classes, children will have fun learning to warm up, stretch, and participate in group fitness exercises that develop their coordination, balance, and stamina. They will be introduced to the culture of Muay Thai by learning the bow (Wai), counting to 10, and the Thai names for common Muay Thai practice. They will begin to learn basic Muay Thai including the different stances, walks, and movements. Light pad work and bag work are also introduced at this stage. Friendships and smiles are common.
